Terms version v6, 25 September 2026. This policy forms part of the Enrolment Terms. It is formally accepted by the account holder during onboarding: the student (18 or older), the parent, or another payer.

Access

Access to the portal starts once the registration fee is received and the application is approved. Full access to courses opens as the learner completes the registration steps (agreements, Declaration of Authenticity, documents, demo session).

Keeping the account up to date

If the account is not paid according to the payment schedule, the learner’s access will be suspended, and the learner can be deregistered from SACAI.

Payment schedule

Your registration fee, monthly amount and dates are on your quotation and enrolment agreement.

SACAI examination fees

• They are paid to SACAI for the learner’s registration and final exams.
• Elroi registers the learner with SACAI only once the account is up to date. A learner whose account is behind may miss SACAI’s first registration window.
• They are refunded only if the learner is deregistered before 15 March. From 15 March they are non-refundable.
• Grade 12 exam venue fees are included. Some venues may add a reasonable extra cost.

Minimum cancellation fee: R500

Onboarding starts at payment, at your request: our staff and teachers begin welcoming the learner right away. Every cancellation carries a cancellation fee of at least R500, also within the first 7 days.

Cancelling within 7 days

You may cancel within 7 days of enrolling, without giving a reason. Everything you paid is refunded within 30 days, except the minimum cancellation fee of R500.

How to cancel

• Submit a cancellation request through the Administrative Portal (or email info@elroiacademy.org). Requests are processed within 5 business days.
• Notice: one month’s notice is required, and the monthly fee remains payable during the notice month.

Cancellation after the 7 days

The amount owed is calculated on the full Elroi fee (before discounts, excluding exam fees; the amount is shown on your quotation and enrolment agreement):

• Grades 10 and 11: 10% of the full Elroi fee, plus 9% for each month from January up to and including the month of cancellation.
• Grade 12: 10% of the full Elroi fee, plus 15% for each month from January up to and including the month of cancellation.
• Minimum cancellation fee: every cancellation costs at least R500, also when the calculated amount is lower. Refunds are also subject to service and discount costs.
• Anything paid above the amount owed is refunded.
• No refunds for Grade 12 cancellations received after 30 June, or for Grade 10–11 cancellations after Term 3.

Deregistered learners who write the next year

A learner deregistered in the current year who writes the exam the following year still owes the full fee for the current year. The only fees in the following year are the SACAI exam registration fee and the Elroi administration fee.
